FROM ITALY
Sandybilly and The Wildones are an Italian band, they come from the region of Veneto and their town is called Bassano del Grappa (VI).
They were born as a band “just for one night” on September 2013, in fact, the band was hired to play one gig on the hills of Bassano del Grappa, but that night was such a huge success that the band decided to perform six more gigs with those components.
On April 2015 the drummer and the guitarist decided to leave the Wildones to follow other projects.
Therefore, the band is now composed by:
“Sandybilly” who is the lead vocal, she has been performing as a singer on the Italian rockabilly scene for almost ten years, she is really in love with 50’s music, style and culture since she was a teen-ager; her style has been inspired by 50’s artists such as Wanda Jackson, Janis Martin and Patsy Cline and even by some “modern” ones such as Kim Lenz and Ruby Ann.
“Wild Bosca” who is the double bass player, he has been performing for 30 years, he had some rockabilly experiences in the past, he is also the bass player of The TBirds, a rock band from Bassano del Grappa.
“Wild Andy” who is the guitarist, he has been playing the guitar since he was a teen-ager, he was also the guitarist of the Italian rockabilly band called The Jumpin’ Bop.
“Wild Battista” who is the drummer, he has been performing for almost 40 years, he was also the drummer of historical bands in Bassano del Grappa, such as The Vindicators and The Frigidaire Tango.
The “new” Wildones have been existing since April 2015, they have already brought their music that comes directly from their heart and soul outside Italy (Switzerland, Germany…) and this is only the beginning..!
