HOME GROWN ROCKABILLY WITH A HEALTHY DOSE OF COUNTRY

Since learning how to play guitar in his early teens Scotty Baker

has been playing authentic 50s rockabilly, Rock N Roll and Country music.

Scotty's influences range from Rockabilly/Rock n Roll stars, such as Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley, to some of Country music's greats, such as Hank Williams, Marty Robbins and Jim Reeves.

For some years now, Scotty has been writing his own original rockabilly/country tunes and has been performing them at all the major rockin' festivals across Australia and more recently, world wide.

In 2010, Scotty teamed up with Dingo at Press-tone Music, Paulie Bignell at Hailstone Studio, and a bunch of talented Melbourne musos, including Dave Cantrell, Snappy Vex, Ray Tully, and Steve Teakle, to record, and release his debut album 'Just like that'.

It boasts 14 self penned tunes, with styles ranging from Rockabilly, Rock n' Roll, Country, and Hill-billy, and the album has been a great success, with rave reviews coming from all around the world.

Scotty's gift of crafting clever lyrics has also been noticed in the media world, and he's written, and recorded theme tunes for radio, and TV.

Scottys latest (2014) release 'I'm calling it', is another 14 track album of original tunes. Recorded at Hailstone studio for Press-tone records, this time Scotty teamed up with legendary Melbourne band, 'The Starliners', and Newcastle's talented young piano man, Ezra Lee... The result is stunning, and this greatly anticipated second album is exceeding expectations around the world!

Scotty has also released a 45rpm record with WILD records which he recorded in Hollywood while in the U.S for VLV in 2014.

It contains 2 self penned tracks that have become floor fillers world wide!

Scotty is very excited about the future, with some major gigs already under his belt, such as 'Viva Las Vegas' (USA) in 2014, 'Screamin' Fest' (Spain) in 2015 and 'The Rockabilly Rave'(UK) in 2013, 2014, 2015.

Scotty also embarked on a European tour in 2015 which saw him play 10 packed out shows across Europe in countries such as France, Amsterdam, Belgium, Finland, Scotland, and Spain.

2016 is looking busy already as once again, he'll be headlining at The Rockabilly Rave (UK) as well as The Nashville Boogie (USA)

and the Good Rockin Tonight festival (France) just to name a few.
