PEP TORRES

Born and raised in Santa Barbara California, Pep spent 17 years of his adult life living in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. As a result, his “school of rock” has had a variety of influences: from the remnants of the 70’s “Rollin’ Rock” sound and 80’s California Rockabilly scene, passing through the 90’s Neo-Swing movement and ending in the authentic “Traditional” sound whose awareness in America was made even greater by the existence of European bands doing the same. This is when Pep Torres finally felt musically at home.

Now jump to present times: Pep plays his own blend of 50’s style rock & roll, rockabilly, doo-wop, and rhythm & blues. Singing 95% self-written original tunes, he further emphasizes his uniqueness by singing in both English and Spanish! His music has been released on 6 CDs as well as on numerous compilatons.

Touring on a regular basis away from his native California since 2002, his travels have taken him to most European countries, as well Scandinavia and even to Russia. On the American continent, Pep has toured across the United States as well as in Mexico and Canada.

In addition to all, he has become quite adept at writing in the third person.
