If you think of post-war (WWII.) swing music,you wouldn’t imagine hearing a country instrument (such as a lap steel guitar) in combination with a jazz trumpet. Based on the multisonic sound of trumpet and lap steel guitar, in addition with own arrangements, songs like “Blue Suede Shoes” get their own sound characteristics and swing groove. A new 7" vinyl single (with Blue Suede Shoes) will be out 2015 on Rydell Records, France, featuring HUELYN DUVALL from Texas (duet w/ Long John). Musicians of this band played in the past e.g. as Doc Thomas, Hannes & the Vinyl Freaks, Al Tuscan & the Lumberjacks or nowadays for Rio (“the voice of Elvis) and Boss Hoss. Long John did play/tour e.g. with Carl Perkins, Wanda Jackson, Marvin Rainwater, Huelyn Duvall, Ray Campi, Sleepy LaBeef and Johnny Legend.
